Eliassen Group Chief Agilist Damon Poole will ascend his bully pulpit on Jan. 22 to discuss the topic - Scaling Agile with the Enterprise Agility Model in a free webinar that will begin at 2 p.m. EST.

When I asked Damon what he intends to discuss, he said, “There are many widely used team-based Agile solutions such as Scrum, XP, and Kanban, but few similar solutions at the multi-team Enterprise level. The Enterprise Agility Model provides guidance for achieving Enterprise Agility, based on the shared experience of many organizations and practitioners.

“What will be presented is how the Enterprise Agility model is based on the principles and values of the Agile Manifesto, while following the principle of ‘The Simplest Thing That Could Possibly Work. The Enterprise Agility model is contained in a short and simple document that is akin to the Scrum Guide, a diagram that visually depicts the interaction between the practices, and a spreadsheet for measuring Agile maturity at both an organizational and per-team level.”

Here’s what you need to do to register.

Carrie Driscoll

Carrie Driscoll

Do you want to learn how your organization can reduce the time it takes from taking an idea and turning it into a tangible result?

Carrie Driscoll, Eliassen Group’s Agile Delivery Lead, will tackle this very topic in a webinar starting at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

In her 45-minute presentation, Carrie will discuss all that is involved with Continuous Delivery (CD).

Some organizations are able to go from idea to delivery in days and can deliver a hundred changes in a single day! Continuous Delivery is an emerging discipline for realizing these kinds of benefits. It isn’t easy to get to CD, but the significant business benefits make it worth the effort.

Carrie’s webinar will provide an overview of what CD is, the tools needed to implement it, and the justification for making the investment.

I’ve recently been posting on Enterprise Agility and the Enterprise Agility Maturity Matrix. The Agile Maturity Matrix is a cool way to gauge your Agility from an Enterprise or team perspective. Now users of JIRA Agile can track their Agile journey directly in the tool. Not only that, it encourages you to create a backlog of next steps to move further along in your Agile journey. What a great idea!

You can learn more about using JIRA to track your Agile Maturity in the post “Agile maturity – How agile is your organization?” by Matt Schenck.
